About Concrete Rush

Concrete Rush is a pour-and-fill puzzle with a jobsite twist. A mixer truck sits above an oddly-shaped foundation form — steer its chute, open the gate, and fill the form exactly to the dashed line. Stop short and there isn't enough to strike off. Go past it and the pour is spoiled: concrete over the line can't be taken back.

The catch is that concrete already in the air still lands after you shut the gate, so you're always pouring a little ahead of what the gauge reads. And because the forms aren't simple boxes, the level doesn't rise evenly — a wide footing crawls, then the moment the concrete reaches a narrow neck it bolts for the line. Later levels hang rebar in the way and give you two forms to fill on one timer.

How to play

  1. 1Aim the chute — Move your pointer across the play area, or hold the left and right arrow keys, to swing the chute. It has weight — it won't snap across instantly.
  2. 2Open the gate — Hold anywhere on the play area, or hold Space, to pour. Let go to shut the gate.
  3. 3Watch the line — Every form has a dashed line and a rising gauge. Green means you're on it, amber means short, red means you've spoiled it.
  4. 4Lead the pour — Concrete in the air still counts. Shut the gate before the gauge reaches the line, not when it gets there.
  5. 5Strike it off — Happy with it? Hit Strike it off (or Enter) to lock the level in early — every second left on the cure timer is worth points.

Tips for a clean pour

  • Cut the gate early. The concrete between the chute and the form is already spent — count it before it lands.
  • Fill the wide part fast, then feather the neck. The level climbs far quicker once the form narrows.
  • Slopped concrete costs you points, so a tight stream into the mouth beats a wide spray across the deck.
  • On rebar levels, find the gap first with the gate shut, then pour once the chute is lined up.
  • With two forms, do the tighter one first while you still have cure time to spare.
  • Being a touch short still scores. Going over scores nothing at all — when in doubt, stop pouring.

Why did my form get spoiled when the gauge looked right?

Concrete already falling still lands after you shut the gate. That in-flight concrete is what tips a form over the line, so you have to cut the pour early and let the rest catch up.

What counts as being on the line?

Anything within a few percent of the target fills the band and scores as on the line, with a bonus. Landing a little short still scores; going past the limit spoils the form and scores nothing.

What happens if I spoil a form?

You re-pour that level. Your score from the levels you've already cleared is banked, so a bad pour costs you time rather than the whole run.

What's the rebar for?

It's in the way. Rebar deflects the stream, so on those levels you have to thread the pour through the gaps instead of aiming straight at the form.

Is my score saved?

Your best score and the furthest level you've reached are stored locally in your own browser. Nothing is uploaded — clearing your browser data resets it.

Do I need to download or install anything?
